These air fryer sweet potato wedges are crispy outside, tender and fluffy inside, and a quick, flavorful side or appetizer made with a handful of ingredients in under 30 minutes!
You can watch the video in the post for visual instructions.First, preheat your air fryer to 375°F/190°C. Meanwhile, wash, dry, and optionally peel the sweet potatoes.
Then, slice each potato in half lengthwise, place it flat-side onto the chopping board, and slice at an angle into ¾-1 inch wedges.
Extra step for crispier results:- Soak the wedges for 10-15 minutes in cold water, then dry them- Optionally add 1 Tbsp of cornstarch/potato starch (creates a crisp shell)
Transfer the wedges to a large mixing bowl, drizzle with oil and seasonings, and toss well to coat evenly.
Spread the wedges in a single layer across the air fryer basket, leaving space between for airflow.Avoid overcrowding, or the wedges won’t crisp up– work in batches if necessary.
Air fry the sweet potato wedges for 15-18 minutes, flipping them halfway, until tender inside with crispy edges. Enjoy!
